Every color this package lets a game set, over a deck you can walk through a rank at a time. Four separate systems — the stock, the suit inks, the back, the court palette — and the point of putting them in one place is that they stay separate. Start from one of the six decks below: each is nothing but the eleven values on this page, and the code for whichever you are looking at is printed at the bottom.
The suit inks are not rules: print the hearts in green and they go on
counting as red to everything that asks. The court is a
palette of its own and the suit inks never touch it. Skin &
linen is the white inside the drawing, kept apart from
the stock: the source paints both in the same white, so a dark card with
one role for the two would be a King with no face. Black stays put in
the court — it is the mass the line work sits on rather than a
color anything is printed in.
